Sea Buckthorn Granola

We rather the colloquial, ‘sea-buckthorn’, to which a quick online search reveals an armoury of beneficial health claims for this humble berry. Exciting for a shrub found growing on the dunes of the east cost of England!

As self-proclaimed source sceptics, spurred on by encouraging reviews, we delved into somewhat more credible sources (scientific publications), and to our delight, found equal revere for sea-buckthorn.

Armed with confidence in sea-buckthorn’s nutritious properties (objectively positive) as well as the taste (subjectively delicious), we baked on, throwing a healthy dose of shelled hemp seeds, puffed quinoa, pumpkin seeds, and trusty oats into the mix.

Nutrition covered, this super seeded blend of puffed grains, hemp, thick rolled oats, honey and vibrant pops of buckthorn berries is an undeniably delicious-tasting granola.

We love it on a bowl of stiff natural yoghurt with or without a drizzle of blossom honey - at any time of day!

Ingredients: Jumbo Oats (gf), wildflower honey, rapeseed oil, hulled buckwheat, puffed quinoa, pumpkin seeds, puffed amaranth, sunflower seeds, sea buckthorn berries, hemp seeds, freeze dried apple crumb, ground ginger, Himalayan salt.
